I agree,I like your idea but I don't think it's just men. I think it's more people feel they need to contribute. I'm helping an older lady out of a dv situation at the moment. She isn't in a position to pay me anything for staying here ,which I didn't want anyway but she feels she has to contribute, so I said she could cook some dinners ( she's a brilliant cook and loves cooking) and do some gardening as she likes gardening. Personally I'm just glad she's had the courage finally leave but it makes her happy and gives her some self esteem.

That's so great for you to open your home. I'm starting to realize it's the one-on-one ministry that makes the difference... being God's hands when no one sees it.
