What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
We have one that my grandfather planted 85 years ago. It's the size of a double garage! We've never had a problem before and we have ice occasionally. Not sure how far north you are located but you could use straw, hay or pine needles around the base of your tree to protect the roots and you can buy very thick gauge plastic sheeting to put over your tree. The great thing is figs are very resilient. Good luck!
Its not the roots that worry be but the fruit. Frosts can damage them.
WOW! You have figs...awesome! If you can cover it with a thick clear plastic so that the sun can shine through during the day you may be able to save them.
No - its too big. I just have to hope some will survive and ripen.
Good luck fren!
