That was my interpretation of Jackie too. She does act like, “get me outta this car” instead of “get us outta this place”. But then again, she probably wasn’t fully comprehending everything and her husbands head just blew up, which probably had its own scary sound. So maybe she was trying to get away from that skull busting sound.
P.S. its weird trying to express that how that bullet/skull interaction sounded while also trying to maintain my humanity in acknowledging the tragedy of what happened.
Several witnesses said she did this, even that she gave it to doctors, hoping beyond hope that it would help. Is it true or not, don't know. The real truth of the events will probably never be shared in full.
That does sound like the stupid things people do in traumatic situations. “Better grab that brain and pop it back in.” Its cartoonish if it werent so sad.
I agree. I can't imagine the shock she would be in at that time. And to watch how everything unfolded, the body being taken, Johnson being sworn in, the messed up investigation.
Yeah the whole topic is freaky and it's hard to put yourself in someone's head like that. Panic, horror, maybe instead of hoping out the side, she reached toward the first SS guy she perceived.

Wasn't she grabbing pieces of his shot-out brain off the back of the car?
