We all need to take a break, whether we like it or not. And spend time with our family and friends this Christmas. Remember the reason for the season.

But, if something YUGE happens (like mass arrests or full declass) then maybe open it to read-only.

I understand the sentiment about 1) taking a break and 2) spending time with friends and family.

But it's intensely authoritarian and off-putting to suggest that it be mandated.

We know when we need to take breaks.

And for many of us, this place is where we hang out with friends.

So, thanks, but no thanks.
