All the freight companies in the US can barely keep up running 500 to 600 miles per day per truck. If we had electric vehicles, range would be greatly reduced, probably 300 miles or less of practical driving. Forget about oversize and heavy loads. Going over the mountains? Forget that too. We would need charging stations spaced out every 25 to 50 miles along every major highway. Charging stations don't run on pixie dust.
