I read your link. I certainly don't expect myself to be a god someday, nor would I want to. I wouldn't want to have all the problems and worries that God has. I don't believe in everything the Church President believes in. I don't believe that the LDS Church should have ever gone along with the government rules in regards to the COVID-19 debacle. I was very angry with the Church leadership for a long time. I never went to church while the members were required to wear masks; although I continued to pay my tithing. I slowly got over my anger after about two years.
I finally began to realize that the Church members are just sound asleep like all the other normal people in the world. But what I can't understand is if the living Prophets of the Church are as knowledgeable as they're supposed to be, why couldn't they have known that COVID-19 was the work of the devil. If I'm just a regular Church member and I know the truth, why don't the Church Prophets know the truth as well.
a lot of truth to what you say. I still have friends that are LDS, and some family although most left the church. It had great social programs when I was a youth, and I loved basketball and softball against the different wards. And of course scouting. I left for theology reasons, but miss some of the friendships having been shunned by some. But at least I know who my true friends are.
