As tough as it is to say, this is the ultimate end result of gender equality. There should be no limitations in gender when it comes to any sport. Men and Women and any other gender they want to make up should all be judged equally. No more handicaps, no more special leagues of single gender participants. No more trophies based on gender, no more first place male and female, just first place. If the claim is that gender is equal and all things done by one gender is capable for both genders, then all competitions should be equal and open to all competitors. It will be hard to deny a performance gap when women have disproportionately been pushed from virtually every winners circle. Perhaps this is the very wake up call that is needed to prove to everyone that gender does make a difference and equality is applied to Rights and Responsibilities and not an all encompassing denial of reality. Instead of denying reality, we should celebrate the differences and the individuality of every person and get back on track to common sense.
