I've been pointing this out to NPCs since the beginning.

They get the "response loading spinning wheel" icon in their eyes and stare blankly into space while the correct response is downloaded.

After a brief short circuit they repeat the "I'm thankful for my vaccine,I'm doing my part" line, then they don't want to discuss politics anymore.

Like clockwork.
