During the dark winter of death I wore a gaiter daily to pacify the maskers. I learned that a gaiter around my neck kept me warm so I have been wearing one during the winter, the freezageddon.

Same, better than a scarf without all the excessive material and easier to raise and lower than wearing a balaclava
