What is your hope (wish) for the new year?

Doesn’t have to be Q-related.
Doesn’t have to be Q-related.
My husband and I will turn 65 and 70 in 2023. We are in great health, even our technically 11 year old dog is too, not a hint of arthritis or any old aches and pains. It all has to do with diet and exercise (or as I like to say, following aggressive nutritional protocols and participating in regular physical conditioning, as the former sounds punitive). My main wish is that we successfully maintain our health and be able to stay away from doctors (and vets).
To be honest, my outlook on the future is pretty grim. We have NO immediate family except for his sister in NC (we are in UT) and I sort of expect we will outlive her. My husband and I have to do some serious estate planning to help us with a life transition in the event one of us experiences sudden widowhood (I'm thinking about vaxidents on the road taking out innocent bystanders, or violent riotous outbreaks), ensure our dog goes back to the adoptive agency in case we both end up dead, and what little we have is protected and doesn't end up in the hands of woke organizations.
One of my more immediate goals at this point is to continue working on the family histories of my maternal grandmother and grandfather, as their native country (Ireland) is rapidly ceasing to exist as they and my mother and her siblings knew it, and even as I knew it the last time I visited (in 2018, to take my deceased sister's ashes to a family burial plot there). Nobody gives 2 F's about our family history except for maybe my first / second cousins, so I hope to add value to these publications with extensive indexing of places and families, not just the blood relatives but the in-laws, landlords, neighbors, and other people our ancestors may have encountered. Besides my family bios, I am working on other web-related things in terms of preserving Irish family history and have heard disturbing information from a genealogist I know in north Cork about local museums taking down historical exhibits. It's like the evil corrupt government of Ireland wants to erase the country's history. She said the directive to alter exhibits seems to be "coming from Dublin." So in a sense I feel like I may be working to help "save" Irish history and civilization...
I spent this year actively monitoring election fraud issues; I watched a dropbox overnight during the primary; I did over 30 hours poll watching for the mid-terms; I leafletted for several campaigns here in SLCo and figured out the county GOP will never get anyone good elected here again for DA, clerk, or sheriff because the GOP is too busy fiddling with language in its bylaws while Rome burns; and that those of us in precinct positions will probably be putting the dust covers on the furniture, turning off the lights and locking the door on the local party, it's that bad.
A lot of us here are feeling very frustrated and helpless. I met another local precinct officer yesterday morning and told him the state desperately needs a conservative newspaper, and leadership must quit assuming pols act in good faith. They don't. Utah probably has the worst "conservative" legislatures and executive office holders in the nation. I don't even know if I want to continue serving as a precinct officer. There are only a handful of people in this state I'd consider supporting.
What is shocking is discovering that people here, especially those working in government, live inside this bubble in which they think everything they do is golden.
We have a meeting coming up on January 13 about all the legislation coming up on capitol hill this year. It is being held by conservative activists who literally sacrifice their lives staying on top of all of this. This kind of stuff is always a cringefest, due to my just aforementioned comments. For example, I hear some pol wants to meddle more with homeschooling because they are pols and they think they know better than parents. But forewarned is forearmed.
I sacrificed the backyard vegetable garden this year so I could help out some worthwhile campaigns. 2023 I won't be doing that so I am looking forward to a more extensive garden.
And I am doing a lot of praying. It seems to be the only thing in which I can obtain comfort these days... I am not expecting 2024 to be any different from the 2022 midterms and the fraud will continue unchecked. It took decades for us to get to this point, and I don't expect in my lifetime to see the cabal dismantled...
