Im a big Notre Dame football fan.. I know there is an irish guy in here, I see some of his posts when I get a chance to get on here, Go Irish!.. but I was just checking out the universities vaccine requirments.. and i noticed it still said vaccine is required unless they give a religious exemption. It reminded me of when I was confused by this term when they started pushing these vaccines. Whats the deal woth this religious exemption? Why would anyone need to prove that? Do they want to know our true religious view? Like, can anyone lie on these exemption forms? Or.. do they need to be signed off by someone that knows the person and can prove they are religious? Can someone help me underatand this religious exemption? Whats the point...

Because religious freedom has not been officially erased from the books yet.
I have heard in the past that vaccine exemptions for school children varied by state. I had heard that in some places you had to prove you were a member of a church that officially had a stance against them.
Of course we should just be able to say no just because it should wholly be our right to go so.
I've got a "go fuck yourself" exemption.
I don't need to invoke God to tell these people to shove it up their ass. I'll do it myself. No need to involve the (real) big guy in this.
Haha. I like 👍
You normal apply for one,and they never approve or disprove them, for legal reasons I assume.
I turned one in at work, and that's the last i heard of it.
t's a way to skirt the 1st amendment. they make an exemption for religion, then try to prove you don't really believe what you're religion says, so you have to take the shot anyway
This is exactly how I see it.. how can the government know what religion is the one to follow. Although, I do believe in God, how can a government tell me what God to follow, or what medications I put in my body. A religious exemption is really a big joke.. just more loss of privacy.
It's not. you can simply say "no thank you" because no one can legally force you to take anything you don't want to. period.
You can refuse on the grounds that you do not want to take it. People wrongly terminated over this kind of response won money and/or got their jobs back w/ backpay.
No magical conversation between your employers lawyers and managers means you somehow waive your rights to body automony.
Making people pick between relgious or medical exemption is a strawman. the real answer is to just say no. The lack of a third option is good to point out. You can sue if there's no third option of just declining it.
Exactly.. I think the entire thing is silly. We should have to options. Yes or No. When they throw in the religious option, it's like they creating a list.
Yeah, I also forgot about the stem cell part.. but it's so weird that we have to prove our religion haha. Like, my religion could be that I believe in medical freedom ha
Our daughter’ father in law (they married brothers) had to get a letter from a pastor to get exempted from clotshot mandate at Boeing

Are these easy to fill out? Everyone could provide this then?
Everyone could do it I belive,I just wrote a few paragraphs, obout my beliefs and how it was important to me.
Many employers had forms of varying invasiveness. Check out Peggy Hall of Healthy American on YT, she’s great for morale.
Is the government creating a list of people that most likely won't comply?
Are you using an iPhone?
Is this a trick question? Your question is along the same lines of what my main question was 😄 They don't need my religious exemption just like you don't need to know what type of phone I prefer to use.
Biden announced two weeks after my company mandated the mark, that the government was creating a database for religious exemptions. Granted it was said to be for federal employees. But my company told us they had to submit vax status and religious exemptions to the feds. So it stands to reason that these religious exemptions are on file with the feds. It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to figure out what the intent of these exemptions are for.

So if we choose to follow God and be religious, we may be able to sign a form to avoid a death sentence? What weird joke.
