Why are videos so often mirror images
Cell phones have two cameras - one facing away from you, and one facing toward you. (For 'away' shots and for 'selfie' shots.)
When you take a picture (or video) in 'selfie' mode, you are watching yourself on the screen. The phone automatically mirror images the video so that it matches what you see in a normal mirror (note the term 'mirror image'). If it didn't do that, it would be very disorienting.
I have a Samsung S21 and under camera settings it has an option to save selfies flipped.
