The whole system was built specifically to train away all independence from a doctor's decisions.
The last thing you want most doctors doing is getting creative instead of following protocol. Like a mechanic doing an oil change.
The idea, and it's not a bad one theoretically, is that you have actual experts who are on the frontline of science, researching creating and updating the protocols that every doctor has to follow to make sure patients get the best care possible
The reality is that, if course, the protocols are made by absolute dipshit retard bureaucrats who write whatever their pharma masters tell them to write.
Right, we all want that. We also want competent, attentive mechanics and plumbers. And politicians.
But the truth is, doctors are the same exact mediocre half-assing asshats as the rest of the population. The average doctor tends to standard ailments across standard people and needs instructions and standards first and foremost.
Having a small cadre of the most competent and intelligent people creating those instructions this would work worse than if every doctor were competent and intelligent, but it would work better than having 20% competent intelligent doctors tailoring care and 80% idiots doing whatever with crystals and homeopathy.
But we don't even have a system to enforce competence across the small cadre of professionals! They are also all idiots!

Truly, Big Pharm does treat them like employees.
what happened to the old "second opinion?"
In the "ideal" retard bureaucrat system there is no such thing.
