This is so different from Hank Gathers, Loyola Marymount All American basketball player who collapsed and died in 1990. He died of a heart anomaly as a result of a birth defect. Nobody thought it could happen to them.
Scott Van Pelt is fighting back tears as he reports. They say it's about Damar Hamlin. It is, but it's way bigger than that. Who will be the first to speak the truth?
This is history happening. God bless this man.
Edit: first report on his condition is CRITICAL
Just like how a first round QB can stink up the joint longer than a 6th round QB. The more money invested, the more leverage that player has. The more popular the player, the more they can push back. A late round rookie has NO leverage, at all. Especially since they haven't even made a play yet. Easily replaceable. Cannon fodder.
