McCarthy(R) vs Jeffries(D) vs Jordan(R) - I don't get it.

3rd Vote, expected to go to a 4th. I don't get it... what is with this Jeffries guy, a D for a republican held house?

No Dems are gonna vote for any Republican. And No Republicans are gonna vote for a Dem. It will be the death of them in their party.

So Jeffries will NOT win. He only has 212 votes and no more. Speaker of the House needs 218 votes to win the Speakership.

McCarthy may have to grease the skids to get them to come over to his side.

If somehow they manage to pass something to give the vote to the majority winner.. then Jeffries could win it if the Patriots don't vote for McCarthy.
