It’s staggering that not appointing someone on the first day is now seen as a failure. I would expect a thorough vetting and lively discussion around every appointment. Look what voting along party lines for the endorses candidate has done so far.
Except... what if the Dems realize their best of the worse options for them is to - all of a sudden - vote McCarthy. "We" keep nominating him, then surprise! On the 12th vote McCarthy wins!?
Now it's possible this is part of the plan... the optics would be: "look what the Dems did. Wouldn't have happened without their fuckery".
I think this possible, and maybe useful?
Tho, We seem to be doing a lousy job of hanging together...
Completely agree. It's not a crisis it's an exercise.

I don't know what Trump is up to, but he despises the swamp and he is doing this for a reason.
It could be he knows what is going to happen and it is important that he is not seen to be the one behind the events.
So in my thinking, whatever the MAGA caucus is trying to do will fail. And this might not be a bad thing in the long run.
QUESTION: if a Dem congressman already voted for Jefferies, can they also turn around now and vote for McCarthy???
The 20 patriots would not be playing the position they were playing if Trump was not supporting it.
I don’t see McCarthys ego going anywhere anytime soon!
