Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.

I've cut down since 10 years ago. It did affect my blood pressure, I use sea salt or himalayan, and I will buy salted butter. If I eat anything processed now it tastes like it is just made of salt, I can't taste anything ing else. Like sugar or high fructose cornsyrup, it is in everything. I don't care what the O's said, or did not say. There is far too much salt in our diets, and no need for it. In the old days, salt was used to make sauerkraut, pickles, etc. And the natural fermentation provided probiotics. Mammals that eat meat don't need it, herbivores do need it,and we have salt blocks they can lick at. All the processed foods are jacked up with salt and sugar, and kids especially get used to that taste, and will complain if they are given whole foods and a salt shaker to use if they have to. I have a cellar full of prepper food, and I know that its processed, so, if I have to, we will live on that. The worst culprit is frozen food, more salt in that than anything, even canned.
