Friday is just the conference. They have to read it first and then vote on if they want to move it to a full 9 Justice hearing. Mind you, SCOTUS only reads less than 25% of the cases brought to Conference, so if this gets read and voted to move forward it's a massive win. They only need 4 Yes votes to move it on, and they should get that with no problem. The process will not affect how Government works until there is an actual ruling.
They took it in under "emergency" procedures. Regular rules go by the wayside.
Yes, that's why they used rule 11 and SCOTUS took it. The 10th circuit was sitting on it and as soon as the SCOTUS took it under 11 the 10th panicked and said they will allow it to move to SCOTUS. At that point, SCOTUS told them they can remove rule 11. The 10th circuit court was stalling moving if forward for sure. I feel it has a good chance of being read and voted to move forward.
I think there are many factors at play that are not being revealed by the MSM and the players involved. This unprecedented delay nominating the speaker running congruent to the Brunson case certainly is not coincidental.
If SCOTUS takes up the Brunson case it will definitely affect the way government works, one way or another.
