Are newly elected Congressional Representatives participating in these votes? Or are they exempt because they have not yet been sworn in?

The funny thing is that the entire house is up for re-election at the same time. So even those who are returning have not been sworn in yet.
Them peeplezes am da Newbies (and old guys, re-elected)...
Notice the absence of Liz Chaneee and Adam "Cry me a River" Kin-singer🤪
I haven’t seen any of it because I’m working - hopefully, I’ll be able to catch this clown show tomorrow 😅
👍😎
Was thinking about the scotus case tomorrow. If they are sworn in then the would be new and may be them breaking the law that the case is about would not become valid for any house member. But if they are not sworn in does that mean the old session is still active? Not sure if what I said makes sense but it would be fabulous if theh did their job and threw out all the members that violated the constitution. I guess i am being optimistic
Interesting
I think Eli Crane from AZ is brand new. Feel free to fact check me on that though.
I’ve not been able to watch, as I’m working, but I just sent my brand new WI, 3rd District Congressman Derrick Van Orden a text asking him not to vote for McCarthy again, but then I wondered if he were actually able to participate.
I've noticed that the freshmen have been doing the majority of nominations for McCarthy
