Untrue, the purpose of CPR is not just to restore rhythm in cardiac tissue but also to force oxygen thru the body until the person can reach proper medical care.
This is done first by mouth to mouth then 5-10 compressions of the chest cavity to then force the newly oxygenated blood into the body & CO2 out. By repeating this over & over, the body doesn’t stay starved of O2 for the entire length of time the person can’t self-oxygenate.
Now, if someone is flatelined, are they going to wake up & start dancing after CPR? No, course not. But to say it doesn’t work or help, is absolute nonsense & dangerous at that.
