I still have one of his rookie cards (not signed), and a signed ball. I used to collect cards growing up but it got to be too big of a hassle so I sold everything but my Nolan Ryan cards. I have a Mitt Romney binder full of different Ryan cards.

He also came to Round Rock TX way back when he and his son were trying to get a minor-league team and stadium built there. I took my daughter (who was about a year old) and he held her on his knee for a couple pictures. The one where he was doing basically a high-five with her was my favorite because of the HUGE difference in the hand sizes. I moved to E TX a while back but I still try to go by the park if I'm lucky enough to have to go to the hill country.
