I have a cold. Got pink eye, suspect sinus infection. Called the Dr, was told it's the latest variation of covid. What a crock. And I explained politely that I have lived over 3/4ths a century and know a cold when I get one and pink eye isn't an exotic disease. It's a cold in the eye and I have had it and both my kids have had it.
Since most of the vaccinated are catching COVID and their immune systems aren't fighting it the virus doesn't need to fight hard to reproduce so it doesn't get as strong as it once did. The versions we catch from them are going to be candy ass for us compared to the original....but not so much for the immuno-comprised vaccinated.
Natural immunity does wane over time, but it never goes away. This is why older folks didn’t get swine flu, it was similar to a strain they had as kids 60+ years prior. Especially as close as august you wouldn’t notice if you came across it as your immune system is still on guard a bit for it and even over time your system will still recognize it and kill it off as it never really forgets.
Things are always changing. Take the flu, for example. It turned into Covid for two years, then changed back.
Hard to break it to you, but you never caught Covid. It was the flu/a bad cold.

So tired of this stupidity.

Only if you're vaxxed.
You have immunity.
Yes with a butterfly net. Masks don't work for that.
