What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
If you read my post yesterday about my skin rash, I think I’ve figured out the source. My dentist recommended this toothpaste and I started using it mid December. All the ingredients besides water can cause: eczema, itching, hives, skin swelling and headache. One ingredient can cause skin cancer. Some ingredients cause headaches. I’ve had a lot headaches recently but dismissed it because I’m prone to headaches. I can’t believe I blindly used this toothpaste. I’ve been researching ingredients ten years. I’ve used non toxic toothpaste for at least five years. Check the ingredients in everything. Mass production companies don’t care about us.

What kind of toothpaste is it ? Sounds awful.
Crest Densify link is on my post. Sadly most of those ingredients are in any body, cleaning and laundry products. FDA (other government org) doesn’t regulate or check these products for toxins. Just like with packaged foods if the ingredients label has many ingredients and you can’t pronounce them it’s probably toxic. It takes a little bit of research to find non toxic products but it’s worth it. I have to order most everything I use for body and household cleaning.
I agree, the more natural the better, even if it cost more. I have used baking soda with coconut oil for years and have done fine with it.
Just read your post from yesterday. I would add that dealing with rashes always needs the external and the internal remedies. Any time you are having large histamine release, even from contact sources, your immune system is already on fleek. I am speaking from personal experience.
Internally, start with the gut and the liver. The gut, usually leaky gut, is the primary source. A good thing to do is to remove the big offenders for some time - gluten, dairy.... - use powdered l-glutamine dissolved in water to help heal. Enzymes with food. Also, take a good liver supplement. Your liver is undoubtedly overloaded at this time.
When these two body systems become overwhelmed, it doesn't take much offense from the outside to overwhelm and over react.
If you are of a mind to try coconut oil pulling for your mouth in lieu of brushing for a short time, it will help calm and detoxify the mouth as well.
Good luck!
Thanks for such great information. I’ll start with herbal tea. I believe I have some that’s good for liver detox. I’m much better today. I believe it’s starting to clear up.
Some toothpastes used to make my gums slough off and cause my face to turn red around my mouth. I use Tom's now.
Oh gosh that’s terrible. I’ve never had a reaction that bad. I mostly use a clay tooth powder or David’s toothpaste. I like a toothpaste with Neem oil the best, don’t remember the brand name. I’ve found it a lot at TJ Maxx & Marshall’s.
