Here is a list of key concessions and promises McCarthy and his allies have made over the course of the negotiations, based on CNN reporting:
Any member can call for a motion to vacate the speaker’s chair – this is significant because it would make it much easier than it is currently to trigger what is effectively a no confidence vote in the speaker. Conservatives pushed hard for this, while moderates are worried it will weaken McCarthy’s hand.
A McCarthy-aligned super PAC agreed to not play in open Republican primaries in safe seats
The House will hold votes on key conservative bills, including a balanced budget amendment, congressional term limits and border security
Efforts to raise the nation’s debt ceiling must be paired with spending cuts. This could become a major issue in the future when it is time to raise the debt limit to avoid a catastrophic default because Democrats in the Senate and the White House would likely oppose demands for spending cuts
Move 12 appropriations bills individually. Instead of passing separate bills to fund government operations, Congress frequently passes a massive year-end spending package known as an “omnibus” that rolls everything into one bill. Conservatives rail against this, arguing that it evades oversight and allows lawmakers to stick in extraneous pet projects.
More Freedom Caucus representation on committees, including the powerful House Rules Committee
Cap discretionary spending at fiscal 2022 levels, which would amount to lower levels for defense and domestic programs
Seventy-two hours to review bills before they come to floor
Give members the ability to offer more amendments on the House floor
Create an investigative committee to probe the “weaponization” of the federal government
Restore the Holman rule, which can be used to reduce the salary of government officials
McCarthy elected House speaker after days of painstaking negotiations and failed votes

thanks for the break-down
Who votes to get rid of him when he fails to do his job? Will it pass?
Things in the House could look a lot different in a few months, and/or maybe some Dems will be happy to stir up shit if they don't feel they are getting what they want.
From what I’ve read… The motion to vacate only takes ONE person to initiate a vote. He then needs 218 votes to retain his appointment as Speaker.
It’s only been a matter of hours so far, so we’ll all see how it unfolds going forward, but it appears that McCarthy is now on a short leash that’s being held firmly held by Trump.
The Church Committee thing could be yuuuge.
None of this matters. McCarthy won't step down regardless of anyone making a motion for him to do so. MAGA doesn't have the votes to make it happen. Got that? Now that he's in, he'll consolidate his position by spreading some cash around and he's done making good on any promises. He's a politician, he's a lying two-faced member of the Uniparty. We now have McConnell's twin in charge of the House. And people, especially MAGA expect what exactly? You actually believe McCarthy will turn full altar boy and do what he "agreed" to do? HA. What a crock of shit. Folks who believe that will want to buy a bridge I have to sell in Brooklyn. What has McCarthy done over his 14 years in office exactly? Is he a leader? Has he been a full Trump supporter? Has he championed any MAGA cause to the point of leading the charge? NO, NO and NO. And now you think he will suddenly cede his power to MAGA? Folks, he will do what the people lining his pockets want him to do and MAGA isn't lining his pockets.
Hop on Truth Social, and send that bridge offer directly to DJT. He is from New York City, he's got money, and likes real estate. He might take you up on that offer.
He has to get 218 to maintain it
People expressing their opinions as facts always throws up a red flag for me. Just sayin'.
The last line in the article is interesting...
