I may be a music lover, and a fairly good musician, but I'm no composer. Just a good ear and good taste 😊
I truly believe that history's greatest composers and songwriters tapped into the divine consciousness at levels that 99.9999999% have never, and can't reach.
Movie soundtrack composers (Williams, Zimmer, Horner, Newmans, Bernstein et al) may not have experienced "direct" contact in terms of innovation, but their genius is having the ear to recognize genius and work their themes into their own compositions. I guess I'm further down the line... neither innovator nor imitator, but a fan of both.
1899 is quite a trip. I suspect you'd likely pick up quickly on where it's going, probably faster than I did, but when it goes there.... damn.
One of the greatest. Gladiator, Last Samurai, Pirates of the Caribbean (at least starting with the second), Lion King, Dark Knight, Crimson Tide... And then of course those deep tracks... 12 Years a Slave, Sherlock Holmes, Prince of Egypt (imo one of, if not, his best!)

He had a great ear.
Thanks for the share!
Not to top Zimmer's instrumentals, but the vocal pieces are also 💯
If I were to test for somebody's humanity or lack thereof...

Only a bot could get through these two pieces without shedding a tear.
