The game is simple, plausible deniability. You're seeing it with the scamdemic and the walk back on what was done. "We based our decisions on what we knew at the time. Don't hate us for operating out of an abundance of caution...blah blah blah."
They just need someone/something they can deem as a credible source, a fig leaf, and they they are off and running. In the scamdemic it was Fauci and Fauci used his years of "experience" to present his word as unassailable. Along the way more experts were cited until the whole castle was built. Same for Russiagate, same for justification in the War on Terror. Conspiracies so vast you cannot see all the pieces except looking backward over time.
We were built to be trusting and believe in each other. And that is what makes this so vile on a planetwide basis. The MSM has been the method to promulgate these lies endlessly and throughout everything we see, read, and hear. And it is all to relentlessly move us to accept whatever outcome they want. You have to resist EVERYTHING spooged out by the MSM (or politicians), none of it is actually what is going on but almost certainly the inverse. And you won't fully understand the impact until years later.
I think there needs to be more clarity and responsibility with whom they label an expert. MSNBC called Gottlieb an expert, without clarifying that he was on the board of Pfizer. Fauci, a doctor without patients, is not an experienced doctor. At best, he was a researcher, paid by Big Pharma, with a history of questionable medical ethics. They need to start disclosing the backgrounds of their so-called experts, or face serious consequences. Moreover, whatever happened to conflicts of interest? That Gottlieb was formerly a member of the FDA, before he was purchased by Pfizer, which has a history of FDA violations (not to mention Nuremberg Code violations) should have been red-flagged as a conflict of interest. There should be no crossover employees allowed between Big Pharma reps and gov't health advisors. Paid goons are not experts. Besides, coming from colleges nowadays that cannot even define biological genders, how qualified are these so-called frankenscientists?
I used to do training for retail stores. Would be in front of 50 people and pick one to come up front, they never pushed back. Would ask them to do something they'd never consider doing if a stranger asked them and they'd do it. We called it "The Guy in the Front of the Room" (TGITFOTR) effect. Authority figure, you accept what they say unconditionally. It's no different than the majority of us agreeing with the Patriot Act when it was first proposed never considering most of it was 100% anti-Constitutional if we even tried to read it at all. But, TGITFOTR proposed it so we said OK.

Their credible source is "someone familiar with the matter."
IF there's no named source, there is basically no source. Journos can't trade on their integrity any longer because they don't have any.
Or worse, unnamed and anonymous.

TGITFOTR. Very interesting experiment. Like the elevator experiment. A sad observation of society.
