The other half were pushing against it because they have been successfully brainwashed into thinking "false" info needs to be censored. They don't believe in free speech because they fear ideas.
Might be closer to a 33% split where people are simply in denial and can't reconcile with the reality that the social policies and people they support are degenerative in nature and not in the funny "haha degenerate" meme kind of way, and when confronted with a challenge to their snowflake of a reality their response is violently defensive because they build their entire identity around these realities.
Im always saying this! We should really try and be credible in all of the claims made. Otherwise it just sounds like maintenance of an identity, like they say. Just to make ourselves feel better we say literally everything so that when something happens we can claim we saw it coming. And when we predicted the opposite, we pretend it's special opposite comms and we are right regardless. It can come off as pretty snowflakey, for sure.
