I was removing some old piping from an old house, the really thin copper pipes that are very soft.
I thought it was a dead pipe and cut the end off, only for mains pressure water to start spraying out everywhere on our landing.
I wasn't prepared for this, so I just took a hammer and flattened the end of the pipe, then I folded it over and flattened it again.
As far as I know that pipe is still like that now :)
