Eggs will keep for a very long time, FYI. I did an eggsperiment once with store bought eggs. I put on nitrile gloves and coated the eggs in mineral oil and back in the carton. They sat on my counter for 8 months when I ate the last one. The yolk was runny, but I didn't get salmonella. You can also buy dehydrated eggs as a long term storage item and they aren't half bad.
I also heard you can put them in ice trays and freeze them as long as they are out of the shell.
I've never tried that but my wife showed me a video this week of a frozen egg someone peeled and sliced and fried like mini eggs.
Have you tried waterglassing eggs? Old time preservation method of pickling lime and water solution. Can't do it with washed eggs (storebought) though. Must be clean(no dirt/poop) and unwashed.
No, but I've heard about it. I was surprised I got 8 months from store bought eggs.
Thanks for the FYI.
