Make them safer? We are 3 years short of 100 years since the gas stove was patented. Pretty sure millions of people have been just fine since then. Wonder if the new design will take 6 hours to boil water like my new dishwasher takes 6 hours to NOT clean my dishes.
That would imply that there is something to fix. The studies they are using came out of a climate change promotion and alternative energy think tank - no conflicts there right?
The main thing to make sure of, is that the supply is sufficient. Hence, choose the larger gas bottles (Tall 44kg) or town supply, not the small 9kg gas bottles. The evaporation rate is not high enough on these, and this can lead to incomplete combustion and the creation of CO (AKA Carbon Monoxide), not CO2.
There is not enough surface area (the steel 'heats' the gas inside) in the 9kg bottles to lead to proper evaporation. So the biggest mistake anyone can make is to use those smaller gas bottles.
The NO2 nonsense the idiots are talking about is just that: Nonsense.
Isn't that what an exhaust fan is for?

Was just thinking the same thing, fren. They've been around longer than any of us have been alive.
I agree. I thought the same thing.

So true! Just another way to tax us or to mess with our ability to feed ourselves...probably launder some money, too.
Smart pede you are. That is exactly what they plan on doing.

Just to re-cap: Fuel + O2 → CO2 + H2O.
Thanks. That is super helpful. 👍
I like the comments on the twitter post in this article.

Of course, they will probably tax homeowners for using them. Just teasing.
