Nah. Bay of Pigs is far too simplistic an answer, in my opinion. Unless you meant it as one answer (one factor) among many.
Essentially, JFK was shot because he was going to go after the Cabal's minions and instruments. That was all that was necessary for them. They could not allow that threat to stand. All other specifics are really incidentals, imo.
