Are there two by the same name. There's one on Mendocino County by California coast.

You should read your own link.
Thanks. I did read it and there are two. The one in NC is changing to Fort Liberty recently.
You didn't read anything. Fort Bragg, CA is a city. Fort Bragg is a base in NC.
Got it. I kept getting those 2 confused for some reason. I have been to Mendocino, and it is an upscale city. Didn't see a military base.
According to your link Fort Bragg CA is a tourist destination. Fort Bragg Army base is in Fayetteville NC. The two are very different. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Bragg
Thanks. I know now.
I was a tourist there. Did not see a military installation. Wonder why.
I’ve been or driven through Fayetteville my entire life and didn’t know this base was different. Fort Bragg base is basically a separate town with in or around Fayetteville city limits, I’m not sure about if it’s part of the city. It’s unlike any military base I’ve seen, It has restaurants and other businesses on the base. There is a free concert on forth of July and I went to see some country artist. When we left the concert late at night we were routed a different way out than we entered. I was very shocked. I don’t anyone in the military. I guess they are stricter with visitors on regular days, IDK. We each had to show our IDs and got a pass. It was very surprising to see McDonald’s and Burger King on our way out. The three other bases in NC aren’t part of the city. I can’t say if they have business on base, I’ve only ridden by them. The old part of base is nice. It has a neighborhood of houses probably built when it was opened. I’m assuming the higher up officers stay in those homes.

Interesting. I was in NC in October but I don't think I noticed anything, just like you said. I passed right by Fayetteville also w/o noticing anything.
The CA Fort Bragg is a City, NOT a military installation. The Military Installation is in NC, and the city it is at is Fayetteville (aka Fayette'Nam).
