Knowing what we know about the nature of civilians & government officials who disagree with us, threatening to doxx ANYONE on this board could very easily lead to devastating real life consequences. Ask Seth Rich how he feels about them knowing who he is. Oh, wait. You can't.

I don't know the whole story behind Evspra's discontent. Honestly, after the threats made above, I don't care.
What was said in this mod mail completely breaks the compact of trust, protection, and integrity we all deserve. For our mods, who go above and beyond during some frankly scary times, this kind of threat is completely dishonorable and possibly criminal. And that applies to the sanctity of members' information as well.
I make calls for compassion on this site all the time. Even for those people I disagree with. I pray for those who have mistreated me. I sincerely hope everyone is able to find their path to redemption. Obviously, u/catsfive, you and yours will have a special place in my prayers for comfort, safety, security, and peace.
I wish all those things for Evspra as well. Whatever is going on with this person, may s/he find the healing and comfort necessary to move beyond this without causing any harm to others or to herself/himself.
It's probably not a great idea for a person to dox themself by talking about how they had been doxxed. For those all reading this thread who didn't know about this before, now know... why volunteer that information? Was the cheap shot, backhanded compliments and faux concerns worth it? 🤔 truly baffling
I agree with what you have written fren but I would also like to ask a question. Given what we discovered via Wikileaks back in the day - the ability of bad actors to produce cyber attacks with their point of origin disguised as whatever location or nations state they wished - is the origin of the the threatening e-mail 100% certain? Who benefits from spreading discord and fear on the this comfy corner of the interwebs?

I have no idea how reliable the apparent source of the email is. Maybe with more context or history I could make a better educated guess, but honestly I don't think making that public on the board would serve any good purpose UNLESS there are threats to doxx other users or mods as well. That would definitely need to be addressed since Evspra has (or had?) access to identifying info.
Whatever is going on, I hope it can be resolved.
