Engineers had to dig and blast through 73 kinds of rock as hard as granite and as soft as sugar in creating it - a process that lead to the deaths of nine construction workers.

Given modern construction methods, geological tests, etc., it is highly unlikely that the digging and blasting through rock was the cause of those nine deaths. I'd say it is much more likely an accidental ritual sacrifice, possibly followed by a "wake" with a celebratory feast of some sort.

My favorite part of that show was finding MSM sites normalizing it. The mental gymnastics required to make it just "weird" and not "A Blatant Tribute to Satan" was truly impressive.
