I have had a couple of friends attempt to donate blood recently who were turned away because the machines weren’t able to draw from them.
Tubing issues were blamed first.
Eventually, the staff told them they couldn’t donate because the flow was being blocked by clots.
In both arms.
These people are all under the age of 35, by the way. And were under the impression they had no health issues.
Interesting.
One of the people I know who couldn’t donate is in medical school. So I’m not sure every state is using vaccine status as a weed out criterion.
But this post is suggesting even if they did ask whether or not a donation candidate were vaxxed they couldn’t draw blood because of their clotted veins and arteries.
Right. It didn’t matter in a couple of states down South given what my friends experienced
