Many older folk here had menial jobs at 13 or 14 (dishwasher and kitchen cleanup here), more sauce on the "human trafficking" aspect would be appreciated. I lied about my age and regularly worked till 2AM in a greasy kitchen, was a great motivator to get an education.
My mother had me and my sisters doing manual labor at home from the age of 4. She said the only good thing about having kids was that “you can make them your slaves.” Yes obviously we were horribly abused as well. But plenty of kids did labor at home for free. My mother seemed to think we owed her for feeding and clothing us.
