The world needs more love and we need to be more open to show it. So this message isn't about individuals rather Christianity and humanity as a whole. So lately I have been making it a point to tell people I love them. One thing I have noticed is that has almost become a taboo word unless it involves a romantic relationship. The awkwardness on people's face as I tell them I love them is something that has started to really stand out to me. Why? Why has it become almost a negative to say this. Why don't we say it more. Can't I love a stranger and also love my family. Aren't we all Christ's. So if we are to follow the bible and love our neighbors, shouldn't we be speaking it as well. Yes we first wanna live it but I think we should speak it more to. It shouldn't cause awkwardness. It should be something we live and speak freely. One thing I love about President Trump is he openly says he loves us
So I truly love you all. The last 2+ years have been a blessing and I know Jesus is heavily at work in and through us. Together through Christ we have endless potential.
I love you Slechta. You are truly a great brother. And I love all my friends here on GAW as well. They are a great group of people and are always there in your time of need. And they listen to you even on your silly days. Haha. Love you all.
And, if you're ever on the phone with someone, before you go, tell them you love them. I do this with my best friend when I talk to her. I remember telling my father I loved him before I hung up. And then one day he was gone. So you never know when will be the last time you can tell someone you love them. God bless you all friends.
One of the many important concepts that they've twisted and corrupted in our culture. There are many kinds of love, ways to love, degrees of love. But they have warped it by calling attention or popularity=love. Attraction=love, NO, it does not!! God IS love. You are right. We must intentionally practice showing, demonstrating, celebrating and teaching True Love. It is so sad that masses of people have accepted counterfeits instead of what is real.
You make a good point Slechta...good post...this explains the four words used for love in the New Testament as opposed to English, which sadly only uses one word... Of course the gold standard is the love of God...
Agape Love Pronunciation: [Uh - GAH - Pay]
Perhaps the best way to understand agape love is to think of it as the type of love that comes from God. Agape is divine love, which makes it perfect, pure, and self-sacrificing. When the Bible says that "God is love" (1 John 4:8), it's referring to agape love.
Storge Love Pronunciation: [STORE - jay]
The love described by the Greek word storge is best understood as family love. It's the kind of easy bond that naturally forms between parents and their children -- and sometimes between siblings in the same household. This kind of love is steady and sure. It's love that arrives easily and endures for a lifetime.
Phileo Love Pronunciation: [Fill - EH - oh]
Phileo describes an emotional connection that goes beyond acquaintances or casual friendships. When we experience phileo, we experience a deeper level of connection. This connection is not as deep as the love within a family, perhaps, nor does it carry the intensity of romantic passion or erotic love. Yet phileo is a powerful bond that forms a community and offers multiple benefits to those who share it.
Eros Love Pronunciation: [AIR - ohs]
Eros is the Greek term that describes romantic or sexual love. The term also portrays the idea of passion and intensity of feeling. The word was originally connected with the goddess Eros of Greek Mythology.
God bless your ministry...
Wow this was such a beautiful response. Ty for taking the time to share it. I have a rough time remembering definitions. So ty. God bless u as well
Those who introduced evil into the world did so to aid us in our growth spiritually. Before the introduction of sin, earth was nothing more than paradise prison. No ability to freely chose. After the soul group introduced sin, humans began to chose evil because they are evil, and good because they are good. Eventually good wins, this is the will of the Creator, in all his many experiences in all of us. WWG1WGA. Jesus Christ was sent to us to show us how we can be Holy, how we can chose Good over evil, and how it is possible to overcome the ego.
If we had no ability to freely choose then how did we choose to sin. We always have the choice. I think what they lacked was the maturity to choose God over sin. We are now coming full circle with the knowledge of God and evil present. And we choose God
If you don’t know good or bad, then you have no choice in the matter. There is no freely choosing a path you don’t know exist. Sin or knowledge of good and evil introduces free will in humanity. I know this might seem new to you but it is the truth. Abraham knew this, and so did Jesus Christ.
Now now let's both remain receptive
What is sin?
Sin technically doesn’t exist. By doing evil you simply add to your karmic debt. Eventually that will be repaid, if you fail to ascend and learn what it is you came here to learn, your soul will have to come back and try again, or you will move on to a negative density for your next experiences. (This is where the concept of hell originates from). There is a set amount of negative karma a soul will accumulate to where they can no longer come back and try again into this density earth. Those who pass that threshold will move on to a higher density/ dimension where the soul will cash in all that negative karma as experiences for themselves without even knowing why.
Oh I see where your going with this. Will response further when I get done with church.
Have a blessed day, I hope the Creator fills you with wisdom. Blessings ❤️
