This timing is so bizarre imo, I agree with you that this might be a distraction from something big that is coming.
Who riots in the winter? It looks like some of them came from out of town, so who is paying for this? This seems like someone gave them a green light.
This comes right after Kari Lake says they have something big to announce... Plus the confidential files, are we getting a change of batter?... Mass shooter in Cali... Brazil... Companies getting together to fight short sellers, bank issues last week... Ukraine, ammo supply issues...

A distraction isn’t a distraction if it takes place before the event it is meant to distract from.
That’s not how programming works.
A missile in Poland was just before the Trump’s major (expected) historic announcement.
If they expect something to come out - it’s the same situation.
When the tempo of events increases, they become their own distractions from each other. Fog of war. Or: Why worry about distractions if nobody is doing (or can do) anything about it? Just point the truck at the pedestrians and gun the throttle.
