Pence did do the constitutional thing, or rather more accurately didn't do the unconstitutional thing.

The implication that it would have been unconstitutional for Pence to send the certifications that he knew were fraudulent back to the state legislatures is unsupportable. As Trump has repeatedly said, he definitely could have, and should have, sent them back to the states.

Where in the Constitution is the President of the Senate authorized to "send certificates back to the states"? Support your claim.

As Trump has repeatedly said, he definitely could have,

Sure, Pence could have attempted to so something of the sort and violate the Constitution...

and should have, sent them back to the states.

Did Trump actually say that Pence should have usurped the Constitution?
