@wokal_distance: 1/ You will never defeat the left if you do not understand that postmodernism and critical theory (which the woke left use to create their arguments, ideas, and concepts) were created entirely to att...…
This is kind of a word salad to basically say don't accept their terms or you've already lost the debate. But it never says what TO do.
I am not a debater, I don't have the nature for it so have avoided getting into debates. But the way I see it in this social media world is that you don't go down to their level because of the circles they spin with their woke arguments but instead go in a level or two above the fray. Not that I think this convinces anyone, but it does seem to work to shut them up.
#20 You must frame yourself as a worldview or framework that is competing with wokeness...but NOT merely by opposing it.
#22 The only way out is to assert that your view is true and then refuse to accept the legitimacy of their dialectical process....and that includes refusing to frame yourself interms of your opposition to wokeness.
Herein lies the real issue: what is true?
For example when they say "Racism is a function of the dominant group in society seeking to oppress and victimize groups with no power in society in order to protect and further their societal status" just be like "I use the actual definition of racism: discrimination based on race. I don't add that other shit like you do."
What your hypothetical wokester is talking about is the Caste system. It's real. We are in it. Racism is what we do to feel better about our caste.
Why do people in the USA have friends and family of all races then?
I'm not seeing how what I said is generating the question you asked. I don't see how they connect. America has a class system that works as a Caste system. We don't talk about that though because we are busy with being told it's about racism and other culture war b.s. It's not. It's about class and it works because of the crabs in a bucket mentality of the oppressed or exploited. Unfortunately it's difficult to talk about because they have got people convinced that if we just help make this guy or that woman super influential and wealthy, they will for sure this time help me get out from under the people all around me. Nope. They are like wrestlers. They do the things, and then they party and spend together the money they ALL just moved from your pocket. Usually by getting you enraged about the people they are telling you are the ones holding you back .
I thought you were saying there is a racial caste system like the one they outlawed in India with brahmins at the top and untouchables at the bottom. Regarding class: in the USA it is possible to attain status via capital or marriage which was not allowed in the Indian system.
Yes. Sorry, i actually should have been more specific. You are right to have thought about India sort of reflexively when I mentioned caste. Im kind of an idiot. But yeah, I was referring to the American brand of caste which is not really race based in structure, although obviously that is a major factor. It is more complex than racism as a subject, and therefore ill admit I require further study before I can talk about that in any responsible, forr lack of a better term, way.
My response is usually a sincere, "thank you for sharing". Then I move on with a smile.
I immediately put up my shield to avoid getting baited into an emotional reaction. I NEVER engage intellectually. That is always a death trap.
Peck, a psychiatrist, wrote " People of the Lie" which I found helpful when I was surrounded by manipulative liars although they hadn't branded themselves as wokes yet.
Bottom line, the Death Cult has always had many sects and sales pitches but ultimately all roads lead to hell.
This HW dude in the comments of a local blog gets it: http://markmaynard.com/2017/10/yes-the-person-responsible-for-the-racist-graffiti-at-emu-may-have-been-black-and-no-that-does-not-mean-racism-no-longer-exists/
