This is damn interesting. I was watching Donut Operator's take on this incident and he pointed out quite a number of things these cops did that were either bad procedure or simply things you NOT do. I think it is worth the time to watch it. In my mind, it confirms what Lauren is saying here.

For reference, donut is a former MP, cop, and a swat team guy.
