So... She was saving them from idolatry?

Jesus didn't come to have statues made of Him, He came to inspire us to be better. If she killed a Christian for feeding the homeless, that would be persecution. But the amount of value we place in engraved images of Jesus over the value of what He taught is visibly disgusting.
