Even my leftist daughter agrees that the green new deal regarding vehicles in Arizona will never work. It just won’t. In 115° heat, people cannot walk to the bus stop. Plus, there’s very little bus service throughout Phoenix as it is. Even in other cities, there is no public transportation. It’s not going to happened in Arizona.
Abso-freaking-lutely. No one here in Arizona can make it without cars, and the damn electric ones don't have enough charge to get us to the other side of Phoenix. It's all BS and completely undoable.
That's fine but what happens when China calls in the national debt on the US and all the sudden all that sweet sweet fed money that states have been getting to pave 6 or 8 lane wide roads everywhere dries up? Realize that gas taxes don't even come close to covering the cost of roads in this country, and that they are typically the single largest line item on local government balance sheets... even with the massive tax subsidy from washington. So if you want smaller government, you need to support at least creating the kind of towns and cities that look more like the ones we built in this country before WW2.
Cars are great when they are an instrument of freedom, not a prosthetic device which is required for basic survival.

How much will medical treatment for dehydration and heatstroke related issues cost? Oh wait... That's a fringe benefit to the cabal.
