My own 1970s car weighs 5100 pounds.
I have several friends with such cars, most weigh over 4500 pounds. Some even over 5300 pounds.
Even a modern large gas pickup weighs more than 5000 pounds.
EVs are smaller, more dense, more can fit on a bridge than larger older heavy vehicles.
More fit into a parking structure with those smaller ‘compact vehicle’ parking spaces.
It’ll be fun to watch.
Most cars from that era don't weigh over 4,000lbs.
The land yachts of that era do weigh a lot but most of the family sedans were about 3,500lbs.
Modern trucks are getting heavier and heavier which is why Ford went to an all aluminum bed because that weight is hurting gas mileage.
I used to have a '64 Malibu that weighed 3,200lbs.
