No you are completely off. Read 1 Peter on repentance and God's patience. God will bless atheists and others with many good earthly things, including a long life. He doesn't get "fed up". The time of repentance is always "today" because that long life is obviously never guaranteed for anyone. But God still bestows common goodness on all peoples not just his own. By sending Christ into the world to die for sin, that proves God doesn't want sinful and defiant people to get snuffed out early and standing before His judgment seat to try and give a full account of their works with no advocate, no substitute for atonement for sins. It's a solemn reality.
