I will tell you that the addition of UV light to clean my pool is amazing. (Ozone doesn't seem to do much.)

No UV light, get black algae. UV light repaired, no more black algae. Black algae is terrible and very hard to get rid of.

UV light also kills Cryptosporidium (Crypto) instantly; very unlike chlorine which takes a high concentration and like a week to do its work.
