Pentagon press briefing just said it has a basket with a payload under it.
What are the odds that this is the shot heard around the world and that Trump is getting ready to board AF1.

None of this makes any sense to me. In WW2, Japan tried sending balloons with bombs across the Pacific and it failed miserably. Surely China knows that. And if there was in fact a balloon, wouldn't there be pictures from civilian pilots by now?
There are pictures and there is a flight track. Don't assume things don't exist just because you haven't seen them.

I've already seen the flight track on a Facebook post. I suspect you can find it with a search for "chinese balloon track." Same thing with photos. Some are remarkably clear and close, even though the thing is at high altitude. Just poke around and I'm sure you will find things.
I wasn't able to confirm its altitude, but one article stated that these things can operate at altitudes from 80,000 to 200,000 feet. We don't have any aircraft that operate at those altitudes, civilian or military.
Thanks fren. I had a few minutes to look and I have seen some stuff, but at that point it had already evolved into a meme. I don't know what to think, but it's definitely worthy of our attention.
