Thank you. I feel the exact same way. I was 27 when my mom passed and my father passed 5 years later. I was born when they were in there 40's. I am over 60.
My father was 5 when he came from Italy and my mom's parents came from Italy.
My father worked hard and my mom raised us with morals and integrity. My father had extreme faith in God. My home was filled with laughter and love.
I don't know if there is a plan but I know there is a God. I rest in comfort that no man can do what God can do.
I try not to let this bring me down. I just don't understand why we sit here and not rise up.

Wow thank you so much for the beautiful info about your parents , Your home filled with laughter and love , dad from Italy , worked hard so your mom could stay home wow such great memories , I’m so happy for you , my childhood was extremely different , no father , mother was a violent Satanist , I hit the streets at 15 blah blah , so it blesses my heart when I hear stories like yours , The only drag is u lost them at such a young age , gosh if people like that could only live forever , aha they do ,, thank God for heaven ! Yes I’ve had to let go of the whole weve going to be saved story ,, we will be saved and are saved by the blood of Jesus ,, Ty for the great feel good read

Ahh thank you , you know it was a horror , worse than most could ever realize ,, an Oprah story ,,she’s a demon and hopefully will pay for her crimes but I digress … anyway , the abuse was major, physical, broken bones scars etc , sexual was as you know long lasting affects , but the mental and emotional is always the worse as we tend to continue destroying ourselves long after we are free … the good news is ,, no exaggeration, our father and our Lord Jesus has completely healed me , I don’t speak of it much but when I do it’s almost like I’m speaking about a diffferent person! I’ll admit the devil does his best to beat on my mind and play those old videos of childhood trama , mostly because as you know it’s just so difficult to imagine how a mother could do such horrific abuse to her own children , but I know his , the devils schemes and I don’t linger in the whole WHY pit ! Once delivered we have to walk it out like anyone does , work on not being codependent , not believing we are worthless etc it took me years ,, here I was a model ( got out of the biz cause I saw what goes on ) but here I was this beautiful girl and I hated myself and was only attracted to abusers ,, that’s the hard bondage to break ! It’s almost like we live out our abusers prophecy you’re no good you’ll never amount to anything you’re worthless useless etc. I’m a therapist so I try to help others along their journey of healing but unless they except the Lord it’s a tough goal and they never really are free! Well anyway I’m just so grateful that you had wonderful parents and that you didn’t take it for granted like so many do it’s such a blessing to hear those stories of love and safety , tell them often , you never know who’s heart you’ll touch! I think God for this board for being able to get educated concerning this world that we live in and to hear great stories of redemption cheers friend
Tears are in my eyes as I read this. I pray for you to keep faith and strength. They say God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I hope you have seen the worse.
I don't watch many TV preachers but your story sounds like Joyce Meyers who was abused by her father. She too overcame huge adversity. If you never saw her watch her. She is funny and takes real life situations and intertwines them with the Bible.
