What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.

So, I have been thinking lately about how different website/forums have been the place for like-minded people to come together and how when those sites, or portions of them, start getting people to notice things that they shouldnt, the site/forums either start changing where long time members/visitors just stop posting or going to site/forum or that it is shut down completely (like r/thedonald was)
And then it got me to thinking about all the forums I have been a part of over the many years. I am wondering if anyone here is also maybe someone who posted a lot on the DSLReports forums back in the day, late 90's-very early 2000s, (especially the Meatlocker; IYKYK, and no, it wasnt porn or crap like that!). If you are someone who was there back in the day, shout out to you!!
DSLReports - makes me nostalgic! I only used it for speed test, almost daily when I got my ADSL connection, and also whenever I visited any friends. Damn, I didnt even pay attention that they had forums.
The best Internet "forum" I spent time on has to be the telnet sites (arbornet specifically) - those were the wild days. Not as primitive as the dialup BBS days, but definitely more fun than any browser based forums that came later on.
You missed out on some good conversations by not venturing at least into the Watercooler forum
I used to lurk dslreports for news on comcast, when cable net hit my neighborhood in late 01 ..dear god it felt life changing
And now look where we are lol As much as tech has been a good way to meet new people, I often think our lives probably would be much better had the internet never came into our lives
