Agree, parents need to drive the direction their kids take but reality is teachers have a lot of time with kids. I'm impressed that this 'good' message came from a young teacher.
And those hours you get with them are very administrative - feed, get ready for school, get ready for bed, get homework done because somehow all those hours weren't enough to get actual work done, etc. They rig it against parents, this is by design. Homeschool however it takes, for their souls!
That's true. It's conditioning them to work at some job. I did that for 22 years, now I'm freelance. I want him conditioned for that but I need to figure out how to homeschool and still be able to work. My kids mom doesn't live here, thank God.
Gotcha, praying for you and kid. Homeschool is a family thing, if you can't get help from your family then find other families and pool your resources. Much of school is daycare, and they know it. It only takes an hour of book learning each day for a well educated first grader, add 15-20 min per day each year after. Good luck, fren- God will guide you.

Yes and this is why the woke agenda in schools is so dangerous. Teachers get 8 hours a day, give or take, with your kids. I might get 5 or six
